VIVAnews - The government has shortlisted six candidates for becoming independent appraisal for Newmont.
"None of the six firms are based in Indonesia and the United States," Director General of Mineral, Coal and Geothermal Bambang Setiawan said on Tuesday, June 16, in Jakarta.
He said an independent appraisal must be a neutral country.
Moreover, Setiawan said if a private company is interested in buying the 2006 and 2007 share, the company should discuss the plan to the provincial government.
"The central government will send a note to both Newmont and the provincial government, asking for talks about the 2006 and 2007 share divestment," he said.
