VIVAnews - The incumbent presidential candidate Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) said the government has solved various problems regarding the well-being of the society in his five years of administration.
“I haven’t seen any evidence from those praising democratic economy. The evidences are with us (the current administration),” Yudhoyono said while campaigning at the GOR Ken Arok, Malang, East Java, on Friday, June 11.
The evidences mentioned by Yudhoyono were concerned with the direct cash aid program and fund aid for small-sized entrepreneurs.
Yudhoyono also said that he disagreed with the idea of supreme economic growth. According to him, it would be useless if the people are not benefited with it.
Several public assistance programs which have been implemented, Yudhoyono added, were effective in improving the economic growth. He promised to continue the programs if he is to be elected president once again.
“I am responsible for those pro-people programs,” he said.
