VIVAnews - Upstream Oil and Gas Regulator (BP Migas) will enhance the exploration period in Ambalat East Block which is operated by Chevron Indonesia Company. The contract will end by 2010.
BP Migas Head R Priyono said on Monday, June 1, another four-year renewal contract will be given.
Malaysia claimed that East Ambalat is part of their territory. However, the country did not claim the Bukat Block, situated northern off of Malaysia.
The Bukat Block, operated by ENI, is planned to produce oil and gas in 2010.
