VIVAnews - Ministry of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) is assessing the plan to merge companies focusing on pharmaceutical sector. There are currently three pharmaceutical SOEs including PT Kimia Farma Tbk (KAEF), PT Indofarma Tbk (INAF), and PT Biofarma.
The government is planning to set up a number of holding companies to fuse SOEs of the same sector. One of the sectors will be that of pharmacy.
"The plan is that [several SOEs] will be merged and has new name," said SOEs Ministry Deputy of Services and Business, Muhayat, on Thursday, March 12.
According to Muhayat, his department has appointed PT Mandiri Sekuritas as the lead adviser. "The team [to manage the merger plan] has been formed," he said.
